The customer manufactures and distributes large-scale power generation solutions to a range of markets and required a solution for a hybrid system. A hybrid energy system combines multiple types of energy generation.
Within this hybrid system an overall control module was required to oversee the running of the microgrid. The DSEM812 was chosen to manage the use of various sources of energy including the grid (mains/utility), solar and a diesel genset. Whilst the DSE8610 MKII will be taking instruction from the DSEM812 to produce the precise amount of power required from the genset.
